Can't sleep....
Too much on my mind, it's 2am....way past my bedtime. Going to NJ tomorrow, haven't even booked the room yet, ugh...shoot, I completely forgot and can't do it til in the morning. Anyway, I had a great Christmas, I only wish it wasn't over....I got my mom a coat, hers was just not keeping her warm enough at her age, along with a hat, scarf and sweaters....I had planned on getting her boots but it's just not in the budget right now....I got a makeup brush set, mini eyeshadow palette, powder contour kit and a single eyeshadow from Chanel (doesn't sound like much but eyeshadow is $36 for ONE color) other than that it was just a normal, peaceful day like every person should have...I wish my life was like that everyday....
BUT Christmas is not entirely over. My mom and I are going to celebrate Ukrainian Christmas which is January 7th. Ukraine celebrates Christmas based upon the old calendar....and instead of decorating trees in just shiny stuff, people put artificial spider-webs in their tree to represent a story on how tinsal or is it tinsil? was created....basically a family that was too poor to decorate a Christmas tree (shit, at least they had one I was so poor I couldn't even get a tree) in the story, the children fall asleep only to arise and see that a spider had spun a web around the tree and upon finishing the web, each strand turned to silver and gold. My mom will likely cook holopchi for Christmas and I'll bake macadamia cookies if I can...it's kinda expensive to do it right. I doubt we'll be exchanging but a small gift or two, gifts aren't the point..it's the "energy" surrounding days like that...makes it special....So many things I want to say and do....so many things I wish I had...I'm spinning my wheels....just can't...get ahead....always falling behind....I wish time could have stood still on Christmas day....let the rest of the world move on and leave me in my simple paradise. Getting late, I've got to get up early or it will be a bad day.....have to start before I leave if ya know what I mean. :-P Til next time......
