Giving thanks....
Been awhile...I always get so sidetracked and so full of worry I forget about the site, I mean geesh I've been meaning to get a domain for how many months now? Steadily trying like crazy to be able to not work Christmas AND get my mom the gifts she deserves...when you have someone you truly care about you can tell....it feels like no matter how much you get that person it's never enough. I did get my tree, a lil fake white one, nothing fancy.... but it works. My mom is allergic to real Christmas trees....This is the first Christmas we will be having in...years, so many years, the past 4 years in a row have been nothing but a reminder of how bad off we really were...instead of being a joyous day...it was literally the most depressing day of the year....We've spent Christmas in a car, abandoned house with no electric and nothing but candlelight and body heat for warmth....this year will be celebrated in a hotel and I'm not complaining, it's more then I had last year. People don't realize how lucky they are, they really don't. People spend their time worrying about the silliest things, whining and complaining about luxury, does anyone stop to consider their blessings? I get that there is no possible way you can appreciate what you have until you lose it all, no one can unless they have gone thru it. You have heat and can take a shower anytime you want? Your lucky. Have food on hand if you get hungry? It's a gift...some people complain they have to grocery shop, like it's a chore... it is a GIFT. I'm always so excited to be able to walk around a grocery store and pick out what I want....Do you have a real home to go to everyday? Your BLESSED. Simply blessed.....not everyone has a real home and don't for a single second believe that theres gov assistance for the homeless, it's a joke. Anytime you call one of those centers for help there are two common responses one is "we're out of funds...sorry" the other is "there is a waiting list for assisted housing 1 year long...try back next year." Sure there are shelters but God help you if you don't have ID or you can't get in, their also very gross. Keep in mind that in order to get an ID you have to have a place of residence, you have to provide mail....it's not easy.
