Holidays & Thanks
Well, I am certainly disappointed the Eagles lost today.....again.....not doing too well this year...even worse Dallas is doing good.....that's a big slap in the face. They don't have much time to turn around the season in their favor. I've been checking out Black Friday sales (or as I now call it Black Thursday...cause if you start friday, your a day too late for all the good deals.) Anyone going out to shop? I went last year and got my laptop in Best Buy for $130....I had to wait in line for 2 hours to get it...I'd like to have gotten a new one this year, I think I've pretty much fried mine watching so many movies. I will probably be working on my birthday, I didn't have plans to but hey, I might as well....then If I'm lucky I'll make enough to sneak out for the store openings and if I am REALLY lucky I'll get to score the LITERALLY once a year sale of high end products. However, we must take a close look at my "luck meter" and take that into consideration and have realistic expectations....I need that dragon from Neverending story, the luck dragon. Remember him? He looks like a giant fluffy dog! Or perhaps a leprechaun (not the ugly mean one...a nice one) Get my luck upgraded! What are your guys plans? Will you be spending it with family? Or with me? :-P I at least want to be able to go to my home state for Thanksgiving week....that way I'm closer to family....part of that depends on hotel rates at that time. I hope all of you lads have a good Holiday and never forget what's truly important in life.....the person who would do anything for you, having a roof over your head, food on the table and a warm bed...these are things that matter...many have forgotten that it is truly a privilege to be able to go home at the end of the day and turn the heat on...when times get tough, I think of that and how things could be very much worse.
My birthday gift from all of you is shelter. I'm blessed to be able to afford a hotel for myself and another one for my mom/dogs....without it... I really, honestly wouldn't be here and it's all because of you guys..I couldn't do it without each and every man who takes time out of his day to come and see little ole me....and that is the truth...whether you know it or not, I have a place to sleep at night because of your support.
